CALL TO ORDER

Chairperson Wooldridge to call the Committee of the Whole meeting to order.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The RDCO acknowledges our presence on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded tm̓xʷúlaʔxʷ (land) of the syilx / Okanagan people who have resided here since time immemorial. We recognize, honour, and respect the syilx / Okanagan lands upon which we live, work, and play.

ADOPTION OF AGENDA

To adopt the April 11, 2024 Committee of the Whole agenda.

ADOPTION OF MINUTES

To adopt the February 08, 2024 and March 13, 2024 Committee of the Whole minutes.

NEW BUSINESS

5.1

Regional Growth Strategy Implementation Update

To provide an update on the implementation of the Regional Growth Strategy.

5.2

2024 Emergency Preparedness Communications

To provide an outline of the 2024 Spring Emergency Preparedness Communications planned to support communities in preparing for the upcoming season.

5.3

Recycling Contamination Reduction - Pilot Results

To provide the Board with results from the A.I. curbside monitoring program pilot.

MOTION TO CLOSE THE MEETING

THAT the April 11, 2024 Committee of the Whole meeting be closed to the public pursuant to sections 90(1) (c) and 90(2) (b) of the Community Charter to discuss items related to:

• labour relations or other employee relations; and
• the consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations between the regional district and a provincial government or the federal government or both, or between a provincial government or the federal government or both and a third party.
